Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Dermio mobile app. By downloading or using Dermio, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Dermio for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms.

2. Not medical advice

Dermio provides cosmetic, informational estimates of skin appearance to help you track changes over time. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Scores are estimates and may be affected by lighting, angle, and camera quality. Always consult a qualified professional for medical concerns.

3. Subscriptions, trials & billing

Dermio offers auto-renewable subscriptions (e.g. weekly and yearly), some with a free trial. Prices are shown in the app before purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are subject to Apple's policies; we do not process payments directly.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, reverse-engineer it, disrupt its services, or upload content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to submit. Scan only photos of yourself or of people who have consented.

5. Intellectual property

Dermio, its design, and its content are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. You retain ownership of the photos you provide; you grant us only the limited right to process them to deliver the app's features.

6. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Dermio. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
